The trace of freedom represents a threshold between a coercive and monotonous area in Bollate prison and a green and natural area, an allegory of freedom.

Through this door the visitor finds himself in a tree-lined area.

The choice of the type of tree fell on the fruit tree as a symbol of transformation, growth and positive tension towards the outside.

Placed in the meeting garden, this contact with nature represents a new possibility, that of taking care of a space that is configured as a micro-world that goes beyond the reality in which it is located.
